Here's what Miss Supranational Chanique Rabe and Namibia's president spoke about
The 24-year-old is the first Miss Supranational from the African continent, and the 12th edition also marked the first time two finalists from Africa placed in the top five.
"I am very passionate about the work I am doing to give back to my country. It is not only my duty but my privilege to transfer some of my skills to empower and uplift the young people of the country I love so much," the 24-year-old told the president. His Excellency, Dr Geingob, told Chanique he had followed her journey and expressed his gratitude for the way she is representing her country as Africa's first Miss Supranational.
During the final round of the Miss Supranational Competition, Chanique was asked what she would like to discuss with the leader of her country should she have 30 minutes of his time. In her answer, she said that she respected the way the president communicated with the people of her country and would ask him for advice on how she could use her voice and actions as she continued her journey.
