SUV brother to the electric 5 makes its global debut at the Paris Motor Show later this month
Renault has cranked its teaser machine into action and revealed multiple detail images of the new 4 EV ahead of its global debut at the Paris Motor Show later this month. The small SUV is based on the same platform as the new electric 5, and like that car, borrows both its name and design from a classic Renault .
Three-part segmented taillights and a trapezoidal rear quarter window, also make the transition from show car to the street, both taking their cues from the 1960s original, as do the bumper extensions, though this time they're plastic, not chrome.Renault's designers have even added a diagonal strip of trim ahead of the doors to mimic the seam visible on the first 4, and horizontal ribs along the flanks like the ones seen on 1980s versions.
