Dallas County lost over 20,000 local residents from 2021 to 2022 while the County gained about 18,000 international residents, Census estimates show6:00 AM on Jun 13, 2023 CDT
International migration and a birth rate that outnumbered deaths propelled Dallas County to a population gain of nearlyby about 13,000 people , with international migration and new births contributing more to the gain than people moving in from elsewhere. “Dallas County is not growing as significantly as Harris County, but the net out-domestic migration is being offset by international migration and more births than deaths,” state demographer Lloyd B. Potter said.
Dallas County lost 20,245 residents from 2021 to 2022 while gaining about 18,042 international residents, according to newly released Census Bureau data. The numbers show that vital events and other demographic trends led to a population change of 12,886 new residents in the county.
