Coming to HBO Max in July: New shows from Nathan Fielder and Issa Rae, a 'Pretty Little Liars' spinoff, the return of 'FBOY Island' and much more.
HBO Max has an intriguing lineup of new comedy series in July 2022, to go with a spinoff of a fan-favorite teen drama and a slate of movie favorites.
Master of awkward comedy Nathan Fielder is back with a new series, “The Rehearsal” , in which he’ll help people prepare for major life events by “rehearsing” them through simulations of his own design. What could possibly go awry? Issa Rae is also back with a new comedy series, “Rap Sh!t” , about two best friends in Miami who try to launch a rap career; the excellent and very adult “Harley Quinn” returns for its third season of animated supervillainy; and the New Zealand sci-fi/horror mockumentary “Wellington Paranormal” drops its fourth season just a month after Season 3 came out on Max.
Meanwhile, “Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin” is essentially a sequel to the original hit teen drama, set in the same town of Millwood, about a group of disparate teen girls tormented by a mysterious figure who wants them to pay for the sins of their parents. Episodes will be released weekly in batches, with the first three dropping on the 28th.Warner Bros.
