At the end of the straight is Turn 5, a sharper, 90-degree left-hand turn into a longer near straight which ends in the Turns 6-7 complex — a sharp 90-degree right followed immediately with a more moderate left as speeds increase … But only very briefly. At the end of a short straight is the sharp, 90-degree Turn 8, which leads into the Coronado Chicane Complex, which includes the wider, 90-degree, right-handed Turn 9, the left-right kink of Turns 10 and 11 and a short straight to the 90-degree, left-handed Turn 12, which leads into the fourth-longest straight-away section.
• Turn 13 is a right-handed sweeper on a wider section of track leading to the sharp right-hander at Turn 14, which has been labeled the Runway Road Turn since it comes at the end of Runway 18/36 on Halsey Field. • Turn 15 is a left-hander putting the field on the third-longest straight leading to the left-handed Turn 16 that takes the field back to the start-finish line and pit entrance.
