The first annual Salt City Wine and Dine, held at historic La Caille, is a way to sample food and drink — and support the nonprofit Tribune.
La Caille, the restaurant at the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon, will play host to the first Salt City Wine & Dine event, featuring dozens of Utah vendors of food and beverages — with proceeds going to support the nonprofit journalism of The Salt Lake Tribune.Food, drink, art, music and conversation — and a chance to support nonprofit journalism — are all part of the firstThe event is set for Saturday, Aug. 27, at La Caille, at the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon — 9565 Wasatch Blvd.
Every ticket includes a tax-deductible $25 donation to The Salt Lake Tribune, a nonprofit news organization that serves the people of Utah. Doors open at 3 p.m. for VIP ticket holders, with food and wine available to try. At 3:30 p.m., there’s a choice between a winery tour or a wine tasting and food pairing . At 4 p.m., the grand tasting opens, and at 5 p.m., doors open for general admission ticket holders. Beverage tastings run from 3 to 9:30 p.m. . Food tastings are from 4 to 8 p.m..
