The foundation reports that African Americans experience food insecurity at 19.1 percent, while Hispanics experience it at 15.2, both two times the rate for white non-Hispanics. We discuss the mission of this nonprofit with Simone Gordon, a strong, young mother who survived of domestic abuse herself, and is now helping others.
