Henry Winkler says he experienced 'debilitating' psychic pain when he couldn't find work for years after playing the Fonz on 'Happy Days.' He says he was typecast.
“It’s the most outrageous, intense work I have ever done,” the one-time Fonz says of his role as terrible acting teacher Gene Cousineau.
He echoed those sentiments in the “Today” interview, saying, “Life is more fun than you think it is, than you allow it to be. Despite his struggles post-”Happy Days,” Winkler told “Today” that he doesn’t regret his time on the iconic sitcom.
