Henry Cavill has shared a first look at director Guy Ritchie’s upcoming World War II action spy movie, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.
After months of radio silence on the project, Henry Cavill has now shared a first look at Guy Ritchie's The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Cavill is best known for his former role as Superman in the DCU, but has also starred in popular movies and shows like The Witcher and Ritchie's The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Now, Cavill has shared a new image from The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare on Instagram, showing off his bearded look for the film along with several of his costars. Check out the new image below: Also included in the image are Alan Ritchson, who recently starred in Reacher and is set to appear in Fast X, along with Alex Pettyfer, Hero Fiennes Triffin, and Henry Golding.
The script for the upcoming Ritchie movie is written by Arash Amel and Eric Johnson, the latter of whom wrote Patriot's Day and The Fighter. In addition to Cavill, Ritchson, Pettyfer, Triffin and Golding, the film will also feature performances from Eiza González, who recently starred in Michael Bay's Ambulance, and Cary Elwes, who is known for The Princess Bride and who will be appearing in the next installment in the Mission: Impossible franchise.
While few details have been released thus far, Ritchie's filmography would suggest that The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare will have plenty of action. Considering Ritchie's unique filmmaking style, there's a chance that the upcoming film will be very different from serious World War II films like Saving Private Ryan or Fury, with a tone perhaps closer to Inglorious Basterds.
