Henry Cavill confirms his exit as Superman in a statement: 'My turn to wear the cape has passed.'
A few weeks after Henry Cavill took to Instagram to announce that he would be returning as Superman, the actor has taken to Instagram yet again to confirm the sad news that he will not be returning to play the superhero again.
With James Gunn and Peter Safran working to retool DC Studios to fit a new 10-year plan, Gunn confirmed that he is penning a new Superman script that will showcase the character's early years, and require the role to be recast with a younger actor.
