Hennessey's 1000-hp modified Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing can hit 60 mph in as little as 2.5 seconds
CT5-V Blackwing
leaves the factory with a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 producing 668 hp and 659 lb-ft of torque. Customers are then offered the choice of either a six-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic. Regardless of the transmission, both versions can hit 60 mph in around 3.5 seconds and continue through to 205 mph .
The result is a combined 1,000 hp and 966 lb-ft of torque at the crank. Hennessey recently performed a series of dyno tests on its first CT5-V Blackwing H1000. The car, finished in a striking shade of blue, pumped out 841 hp and 765 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels. The tuner says its modified CT5-V Blackwing can hit 60 mph in around 2.5 seconds, storm down the quarter mile in 10.1 seconds, and exceed the car’s standard 205 mph top speed.
