Michelle Mann OZARK-“Helping local communities meet local needs through building relationships, cultivating partnerships, and designating resources,” is the mission of the Wiregrass Resource Conservation and Development Council members who recently celebrated a total of $40,000 to 2024 grant recipients in Dale County.

“While the funding may not be vast, it often plays a crucial role in completing community projects and overcoming specific challenges,” said WRC& D Executive Director Ronnie Davis, as he welcomed representatives of local non-profit organizations and government entities who received grants and the legislators who helped make the grants possible.

“WRC&D is dedicated to supporting local communities by identifying their unique needs and fostering strong partnerships for sustainable growth,” Davis said. “These grants are made possible by the dedicated support and ongoing commitment to community development of our of state legislators, to include State Sen. Josh Carnley and State Representatives Steve Clouse and Marcus Paramore, who were recognized for their ongoing commitment to community development.
