WGAL is preparing for its annual partnership with Salvation Army chapters across the Susquehanna Valley to help families in need stay warm during the winter. This year, we want your help to make it happen!
Our 29th annual Coats for Kids Telethon runs Dec. 4-8. All week, we’ll be highlighting efforts to raise money to buy new coats for children who need them.If you are involved in a group or organization that’s looking to give back this holiday season, become a Coats for Kids Ambassador! Here’s how to do it:Coordinate a fundraising effort the week of Dec. 4-8.Get creative! Your event could be a general donation drive, something physical like a bake sale, or a more creative event.
Tell us what you’re doing! Contact Kristin Kay and let us know if your organization wants to be a Coats for Kids Ambassador. Send the details of the event . We’ll explain how to submit donations, as well as provide a digital toolkit with signage, social graphics, etc., to help you get the word out!You might make it on TV! We’ll be selecting a few of the most creative/visual Ambassador events to feature live on WGAL News 8 throughout the week.
