Biokineticist Kirsty Roux is taking on the gruelling George Mountain Ultra Trail ‘MUT’ by UTMB, along the Outeniqua Mountains, on May 27.
In her first adventure of this nature, Roux is taking this 100km trail run with a 4855m elevation to raise funds for Hospice East Rand.
“I wants to use this experience as a platform to do something meaningful. To be able to run is a gift and a great privilege and I want to use this opportunity to celebrate this wonderful gift and hopefully make a difference,” she said. The funds she will raise will be used to provide care for patients who are not in a position to afford it.
