Arrowhead Game Studios had planned on granting all Helldivers 2 players a free cosmetic for linking their PSN account.
Helldivers 2 has been under fire over the past few days due to Sony announcing that all PC players will be required to link a PSN account to keep playing the game. Unfortunately, PSN is only supported in 69 countries, leaving players in over 120 countries unable to play the game, but still able to purchase it, when this change comes into effect on May 30th.
It is unclear whether this planned cosmetic will still come to the game, it is possible that it will be granted to all players as an apology for this recent PSN controversy, but we will have to wait for an official announcement by the developers. The good news is that Arrowhead Game Studios is working with Sony to ensure that no player in the 120+ countries that don’t have access to PSN services will be affected by this recent announcement.
