Have you been storing yours correctly?
Heinz bosses have stepped in to explain where you should store ketchup, after a new survey revealed 40 per cent of Brits are doing it wrong.
But now, makers of the condiment are here to settle the argument - and there's only "one correct answer". According to Olivia Lennon of Heinz Tomato Ketchup, it should be kept in the fridge. Keeping ketchup in the cupboard won't result in food poisoning as its natural acidity makes it shelf stable. However, Olivia said that doing so can impact its zesty flavour.
Top Trending Stories Today This comes after a study of 2,000 Brits found that four in ten have been incorrectly keeping red sauce in the cupboard over the fridge According to findings, 62 per cent of Sheffield residents use the cupboard method, making them the worst culprits.
