Nana Magubane was sentenced in the Durban Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
It's understood that Magubane submitted false invoices to SARS on behalf of a transportation company. KZN Hawks spokesperson Bonnie Nxumalo says Magubane, who is the company's former director, was also handed a suspended sentence. "She was charged with six counts of fraud after a case was opened at Point police station. Magubane was sentenced to an R300 000 fine which will be paid in instalments, and a suspended four-year imprisonment."
