What will happen on season two of Heated Rivalry? As Storrie said while announcing the show’s renewal, “Start reading The Long Game if you wanna spoil yourself.” That’s another book in Reid’s Game Changers series, which also focuses on Shane and Ilya navigating their relationship and making it work as secret boyfriends, public rivals, and members of two different teams. For specific spoilers, take Storrie’s advice and pick up the book, but Reid has also hinted at integrating plotlines from another of her books. “I think it’s going to be mostly The Long Game,” she told Variety. “Jacob’s already said that in interviews, but there’s another book, Role Model, that kind of overlaps it. So I’m hoping that we’ll get both stories told at the same time. I don’t think there’s another way you could do it. I’m hoping we get more episodes.” Role Model tells the story of Troy Barrett, a surly player who finds himself traded to a new team, where his reputation precedes him—in a bad way.
