When the outside temperature is 80 degrees, the inside of a car can hit 99 in 10 minutes and go up to 123 in an hour.It’s even faster when temperatures are in the 90s like they will be on Friday.Strenuous activities should be reduced, eliminated, or rescheduled to the coolest time of the day. Individuals at risk should stay in the coolest available place, not necessarily indoors.Lightweight, light-colored clothing reflects heat and sunlight, and helps your body maintain normal temperatures.
