Heat index climbs above 113° tomorrow
– The heat advisory that has been in effect going back to last week, has been updated to an excessive heat warning. Heat index values will go above 112° tomorrow. It’s also in effect longer, lasting through 10pm Tuesday. I’m forecasting a high of 102° which would be the hottest day of the year. Monday we climbed to 101°! That makes Monday the hottest day of the year so far. So far we’ve reached 100° five times this year.
We finally have hope at the end of the 10-day. High pressure moves out of the way and rain may move in as we get to the beginning of next week.
