Assistant Director Dwayne Young introduced two adorable dogs, Coal and Bella, at the Franklin County Dog Shelter . Coal is a friendly stray who has been at the shelter for about a week and will be available for adoption on December 27th after his neuter surgery. Bella is a loving dog whose previous owner could no longer care for her and will be available for adoption on Saturday morning.
Young emphasized the importance of dog licensing, which runs from December 1st to January 31st, as it helps reunite lost dogs with their owners. He also highlighted the success of the shelter's recent holiday sleepover event, where over 100 dogs found temporary homes, resulting in 30-40% adoptions. The shelter is always in need of donations like dog food, blankets, and treats. Young encourages the community to visit the shelter at 4340 Tamarack Boulevard or their website to learn more about adopting Coal, Bella, or any of the other dogs seeking loving homes
