Turning dogs away is heartbreaking
Passionate dog owner Ian Roberts decided to step in to help a kennel that was facing closure late last year. The owners of the 4 Paws UK kennel in Preesall were set to retire, meaning the kennels would be closing its doors and the dogs would need to be rehoused.
"That's even after half of them having never even been on a walk before. Now, you see them running around excitedly and that's a huge thing. "We've done a lot of rehab with the dogs, as they have a lot of issues, mainly with trust," Ian added. "I've been working on that with them when I'm not walking them or cleaning the kennels.
"I feel sorry for some of them, they've done nothing wrong. Ideally as well, if people are interested, we like to get them here to visit and so we can assess the people too.
