Price crashed out after defeat to Luke Humphries and he took a swipe at the tournament.
Gerwyn Price took a dig at Premier League Darts after his humbling exit on Thursday night - saying he's happy it's over, and would be 'lying' if he said he'd enjoyed this year's run.
The Iceman finished second bottom of the eight-player league, ahead of only the massively under-performing Peter Wright. The world No.6 won just seven matches across the 16 nights and lost to world champion Luke Humphries in the first round in Sheffield's finale. Humphries finished second to Luke Littler in the table with Michael van Gerwen and Michael Smith also advancing to the playoff in London next week, but Price's race is run.
But the sport's ultimate villain isn't too bothered...or so he claimed on Instagram. He took a dig at its unranked status, with players invited rather than qualifying on merit. Littler was invited despite the likes of Dave Chisnall and Johnny Clayton being ranked ahead of him in the world rankings at the time the eight players were announced.
And a cheesed off Price, who lost 6-4 to Humphries, wrote: ''So happy that is done and dusted. End of the Premier League for me. Would love to say I've enjoyed it but I'd be lying. Looking forward to putting my full attention on ranked events from now on."
