IRISH actress Niamh Cusack shot to fame in the early 90s when she starred in the much-loved show Heartbeat.Niamh played Doctor Kate Rowan until series fiveThe show had eighteen seasons and ran from 1992 to 2010.
The drama follows members of the local constabulary patrol the town of Ashfordly and the nearby village of Aidensfield in the North Riding of Yorkshire.Her character died from leukaemia in series five, leaving her policeman husband Nick a widower.
