The best-known Valentine’s Day horror movies are the 1981 slasher My Bloody Valentine and its 2009 remake. However, despite the title, they don’t really feel like Valentine’s Day-themed movies, especially the remake – at least the events of the original one are kicked off by a Valentine’s Day dance that triggers the killer. Heart Eyes feels a lot more like a Valentine’s Day movie and even has the killer going after couples, but it’s to be seen if it can live up to its potential.
