Five people are charged in connection with the killing of Detective Sgt. Monica Mosley.
Detective Sgt. Monica Mosley, with the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office, was shot and killed during a home invasion at her residence on Oct. 15.A detention hearing for one of the four men charged with murder in the shooting death of a Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office detective was slated to take place Wednesday, but was postponed to next week.
During a brief appearance Wednesday morning, both the prosecution and defense requested additional time to review evidence and prepare arguments over whether Mutcherson should remain in jail while he awaits trial.In addition to Mutcherson, Jarred D. Brown, 31, of Bridgeton, Richard B. Hawkins Willis, 32, of Gloucester City, and Byron L. Thomas, 35, of Paulsboro, are each charged with first-degree counts of murder and related offenses in the case.
