According to health officials, TB is caused by bacteria that are passed through the air by coughing and sneezing.

TB is known to affect the lungs and may affect a person’s lymph nodes, bones, joints and other parts of the body.Those who are identified to have been infected with latent TB might be recommended for treatment. Officials said latent TB can be treated in three to four months. Health officials said the person with the active case is being treated and is not at risk of infecting others.
