KUALA LUMPUR: The Health Ministry will probe the emergence of a new cluster in Sarawak, says its deputy minister Datuk Dr Noor Azmi Ghazali.
He said the government will act swiftly if there is a high and sudden escalation of Covid-19 cases regardless of where it happens in the country."A decision will be made soon," he told reporters during a press conference in Parliament, when asked if there is a possibility of a lockdown at certain localities with high Covid-19 cases in Sarawak.
The Health Ministry recorded a total of 15 cases of infection on Tuesday, where a majority of the new local transmission were detected in Sarawak."As I have mentioned before, I did not say the whole of Sarawak. I generally said anywhere.
