IPOH: There have been no Covid-19 deaths in Perak as claimed on social media, says the Health Ministry.

Health director-general Datuk Seri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said as of March 20 until noon, a total of 45 cases have been reported in the state.

Of that number, he said two people with the virus have been admitted to the intensive care unit of the Raja Permaisuri Bainun hospital here. “One of the patients admitted to the ICU is an Emergency Medicine Physician from a government hospital in Perak. The other person admitted to the ICU is a 63-year-old participant of the tabligh gathering at Masjid Jamek, Sri Petaling.A message on social media has been making the rounds that a patient with Covid-19 had died at the hospital’s emergency ward.
