PETALING JAYA: The 121st Covid-19 fatality involved an Indian national who was a detainee at the Bukit Jalil immigration centre, says Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
He said the detainee was found unconscious at the depot and rushed to Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, where he died on Friday .
"The test for Covid-19 turned out positive and the full post-mortem result is still underway," he said at a press conference on Sunday . He said the 67-year-old Indian national had a history of diabetes, hypertension, heart and kidney issues, he added. Malaysia recorded eight new Covid-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the total number of infections to 8,453.
