PETALING JAYA: The infection rate of Covid-19 is well under control in Malaysia, following the low positive cases detected in all pre-surgical screenings, says Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

He said that pre-surgical sampling is one of the surplus systems implemented in Malaysia, aimed at detecting early infection in the community.

“It is conducted on a large population, and it covers people from all walks of life without symptoms.
