Missing businessman Shahzada Dawood and his son 19-year-old Sulaiman have a surprising connection to King Charles III.
Five people - OceanGate Inc CEO Stockton Rush, British billionaire Hamish Harding, French mariner Paul-Henri Nargeolet, and Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his son Sulaiman - boarded Titan on Sunday for a voyage to the wreck of the Titanic.
The missing Pakistani businessman serves as vice-chairman of fertiliser business Engro and is a long-time supporter of both The Prince’s Trust International and The British Asian Trust. “We are shocked by this awful news, praying for a rescue and sending our thoughts to his family,” he said in a statement on Tuesday evening.
“He will be devastated to know that Shahzada is missing but will be keeping an eye on developments,” they told the Express newspaper. Search efforts have been aided by C130 aircrafts using sight and radar and P3 aircrafts dropping buoys into the choppy waters to listen to a depth of 4,000m.
