The sci-fi western ends on a fourth season that premiered in June.

’s current fourth season is now its last as HBO has decided to pull the plug on the sci-fi western.that they had planned for a fifth and final season to wrap up the story.on November 4, HBO said, “Over the past four seasons, Lisa [Joy, co-creator] and [Jonathan] have taken viewers on a mind-bending odyssey, raising the bar at every step.”

“We are tremendously grateful to them, along with their immensely talented cast, producers and crew, and all of our partners at Kilter Films, Bad Robot, and Warner Bros. Television. It’s been a thrill to join them on this journey,” HBO added. Lisa and Jonathan, as Kilter Films, also released a statement on Westworld’s Twitter, saying: “Makinghas been one of the highlights of our careers. We are deeply grateful to our extraordinary cast and crew for creating these indelible characters and brilliant worlds.”
