Share to twitterLongtime HBO Chief Richard Plepler has stepped down as head of the premium television network, Forbes has learned.
The son of a trial lawyer, he arrived at HBO in 1992, after a stint working in the office of former U.S. Sen. Christopher Dodd of Connecticut. A source inside the company said Plepler felt that the autonomy of the job wasn't there anymore, and decided it was time to exit.reported that veteran television executive Robert Greenblatt was in advanced talks with AT&T for a senior role at Warner Media that would include oversight of HBO and Turner.
