Houston Fire Chief asks the public to avoid an area in west Houston after a HazMat chemical exposure.
According to the Houston Fire Department, they responded to a chlorine spill at 1200 Wilcrest on Saturday in a lazy river pool at Club Westside around 5 p.m. Chief Peña reports the incident is under control as of 9:30 p.m. and the cause seemed to be over-chlorination of the pool. Authorities say seven children and three adults were taken to the hospital and some went by private vehicle.
