A paraeducator at Hazen High School was arrested for allegedly groping and inappropriately messaging a former student. The career advisor had begun communicating with the victim when she was a student back in 2022, according to probable cause documents obtained by The 36-year-old advisor would take the victim and classmates to get food or to trading card shops because the students were in a Pokémon club, court documents say.
The documents allege the suspect had driven the teen victim alone more frequently than with other students.Over time, the conversations between the two grew sexual in nature. The victim told investigators that the suspect had asked for naked photographs of her, and requested she re-enact sexually explicit books she would read over the phone, according to court documents. The victim also told investigators she was roughly 16 years old when he groped her and inappropriately touched her over her clothing, court documents said. “ stated that she was confronted by two friends who stated they felt uncomfortable with how much time she spent at the career center and with . She ignored their concerns. It wasn’t until later on she confided in a counselor who stated that she should report it.
