Ralphjoab Lucasia, 32, pleaded no contest to charges of attempting to meet a minor for lewd purposes and was sentenced to a year of house arrest, probation, and 10 years of sex offender registration.

A Hayward man has been sentenced to a year of house arrest , a probation term, and must register as a sex offender for 10 years after pleading no contest to attempting to meet a minor for lewd purposes, court records show. Ralphjoab Lucasia, 32, was sentenced as part of a plea agreement with Alameda County prosecutors. He was arrested last year following an undercover operation where an officer posed as a 13-year-old boy online.

Lucasia offered to be the boy’s “first” — referring to his first time having sexual contact — and arranged a meeting at a local hotel, authorities said at the time. The terms of Lucasia’s release say that he is not to have contact with a minor unless “with a responsible adult who knows that you are a registered sex offender.” He is also not to possess pictures of children and must provide police with his phone and computer passwords, court records show. Lucasia’s one-year house arrest term can be reduced by half with good behavior. His two-year probation term will follow
