Okongwu was the 14th and final player from the 2020 NBA draft class to finalize his rookie scale extension ahead of Monday's 6 p.m. ET deadline. Okongwu averaged 9.9 points and 7.2 rebounds for the Hawks a year ago, including averaging double figures in 13 of his final 15 regular season games. He was the No. 6 overall pick in the draft out of Southern California.Okongwu ranked in the top five of offensive rebounding percentage and second-chance points after Quin Snyder's hiring as Hawks coach last season, per ESPN Stats and Information research.
