Lucky the PizzaDog helps ClintBarton make new trick arrows in his workshop in this adorable Hawkeye card celebrating the holiday season.
Hawkeye’s Jeremy Renner shared a holiday card showing Clint and Lucky assembling trick arrows in the archer’s workshop. Marvel Studios’ latest Disney+ series stars Renner, who reprises his long-running MCU role of Avenger Clint Barton as he trains/teams up with Hailee Steinfeld’s superfan/archer Kate Bishop to combat the Tracksuit Mafia, Maya Lopez/Echo , and Kingpin himself. Hawkeye’s finale, “So This Is Christmas?” aired on December 22nd.
Heavily inspired by Matt Fraction and David Aja’s comic, My Life As A Weapon, and focusing on Clint making it home for Christmas, Hawkeye is heavily invested in its holiday setting—from the snow-covered sets and twinkling lights to Christmas trees and ugly sweaters. On top of Clint and Kate indulging in a Christmas movie marathon, the pair’s chemistry is reminiscent of Lethal Weapon while its music, tone, and other moments allude to holiday classics like Die Hard and Home Alone.
Marvel Studios and company have created more than a few Christmas cards for Hawkeye, and it’s proven a perfect way to market the series. Hawkeye may not have been the most-watched Marvel series on Disney+, but it’s impressed fans with its action sequences, performances, and introduction of new MCU characters like Echo and Kingpin—who will likely appear together in the Echo spinoff series. It remains to be seen if Clint and Kate will be seen together again.
