A Maui woman has gone missing after what was supposed to be a brief layover at LAX on a trip to New York City.
A 30-year-old Maui woman, Hannah Kobayashi , is missing and her family says she was last seen at Los Angeles International Airport a week ago.A 30-year-old woman from Maui has gone missing after flying into Los Angeles a week ago and her family is asking the public for help finding her.
But she apparently missed that connecting flight. Her family says the last they heard from her was in a few cryptic text messages in which she said someone was trying to steal her identity."She's been to Europe, Japan, but it's just never happened where she's not in touch with anybody," he told Eyewitness News.
"She felt like she was in danger," her father said. "She felt like somebody was trying to get her identity or her phone." "She's very responsible. She was looking forward to this event so much. She had a hotel room booked that was a couple of thousand dollars, the ticket for the event was a couple of hundred dollars."
