Drew Goins, a journalist from Hawaii competing in the 'Jeopardy!' 2025 Champions Wildcard tournament, had a memorable moment when he missed a question about Celine Dion. Despite initially praising the singer, Goins struggled to recall her hit song 'The Power of Love.' However, he later found redemption by answering a Taylor Swift-related question correctly, showcasing his knowledge of pop music.

Drew Goins, a journalist from Hawaii competing in the ' Jeopardy !' 2025 Champions Wildcard tournament, experienced a comedic moment when he missed a question about Celine Dion after initially praising the singer. 'Does she know what she did?' host Ken Jennings quipped to the 56-year-old singer during the show. When Goins was presented with a $2,000 question from the '90s No. 1 Hits category, he seemed rattled.

Jennings read, 'Sharing its title with an earlier, more upbeat Huey Lewis hit, it was No. 1 for Celine Dion in 1994.' Goins didn't buzz in, appearing visibly anxious. Both he and the other contestants failed to answer, with the buzzer signaling the end of time. 'Oh, she's going to be mad, Drew,' Jennings joked as Goins left the podium and pretended to exit the stage. Jennings revealed the correct answer, 'Like Huey Lewis, Celine Dion sang a song called 'The Power of Love.'' Returning to the podium, a sheepish Goins explained his inability to recall the chart-topping hit, 'I was born in 1994!' Goins ultimately won the Champions Wildcard tournament, securing a $40,000 prize. During the Second Chance tournament, Goins found redemption when he answered a Taylor Swift-related question. After failing to answer a $800 question about Swift's 'AOTY' Grammy wins in an earlier episode, Goins was given another chance. The $200 question on January 6th's episode read, 'In 2014, Taylor Swift gave us this album named for a different year.' 'Redemption for Drew!' Jennings exclaimed as the audience cheered. 'And the crowd goes wild.' Goins took to Instagram following his victory, expressing gratitude to his brother Zach for his unwavering support. 'I legitimately would not have been able to accomplish anything like this on Jeopardy! (or in life!) were it not for you,' Goins wrote. 'You flew across the country for my every taping, using up money and PTO that could have gone to vacation. Vacation!! You whipped up lots of practice boards and even more hype for me.' He added, 'So excited for tons more brother time, in whatever form, but especially when I get to pay back this favor sooner rather than later — because I know you won’t be missing from the Alex Trebek Stage for long.
