” and scrap the filibuster if Republicans tried to block H.R. 1, Democrats’ sweeping election reform bill, telling, “If democracy were in jeopardy, I would want to protect it,” but “I don’t see it being in jeopardy right now." Feinstein said she wants to “wait and see what happens” with H.R. 1, and, when asked if there are any filibuster reform measures she would support, said, “I’d have to take a look. Right now, nothing comes to my mind.”
Feinstein and Manchin would both be needed for Democrats, who hold a measly one-seat majority in the Senate with Vice President Kamala Harris as the tiebreaker, to alter the filibuster, as would Sen.
