It seems things are not well in the AmaZulu camp and coach Benni McCarthy is said to be unsettled.
According to sources, McCarthy has lost the changeroom with some players unhappy with his man management style.
“We all know that he is an abrasive person and shoots from the hip. He has said things that have soured relationships and he realises that. “That is why he now just sits quietly even when they make mistakes because he is afraid of saying the wrong things,” said the source. McCarthy has noticeably been sitting quietly on the bench in AmaZulu’s last few games and he hinted at problems in camp after the defeat to Sekhukhune United recently.
He did not criticise his players but made a general comment that it is a problem for South African players at large and not only AmaZulu’s. But he questioned their commitment.
