Harvey Weinstein Has Reportedly Tested Positive For Coronavirus

It has been reported that Harvey Weinstein has tested positive for COVID-19.

The agency that oversees state facilities, the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, suspended all visits to prison inmates to counter the spread of the virus last week.

If confirmed, the 68-year-old is one of two prisoners that tested positive at the maximum-security prison, which has a capacity to hold 961 inmates. It isn’t clear if he contracted the deadly virus while at Wende or Rikers, or during one of two stays at NYC’s Bellevue hospital, where he was On February 24, the jury in Weinstein’s six-week trial reached a verdict after little more than four solid days of deliberations. Of the five charges, he was found guilty of two: Criminal Sexual Act Assault in the First Degree and Rape in the Third Degree . On March 11, he received a 23-year prison sentence.
