Harvey Weinstein has been found guilty of rape in a Los Angeles court.
In addition to being found guilty of rape, the disgraced movie mogul was found guilty of two sexual assault charges involving an accuser, known as Jane Doe 1 to protect her anonymity.He is already serving 23 years in prison after previously beingWhile Weinstein was found guilty of rape and two sexual assault charges on Monday , the jury was unable to reach verdicts on allegations made by Jennifer Siebel Newsom, the wife of California governor Gavin Newsom, and a woman known as Jane Doe 2.
Over the course of several weeks, the trial heard testimonies from dozens of witnesses, but the final verdict focused on allegations made by four women spanning the years 2005 to 2013."Harvey Weinstein will never be able to rape another woman," Ms Siebel Newsom said in a statement following the verdict."He will spend the rest of his life behind bars where he belongs.
