. The performer’s love of wide-legged trousers with waistbands that sit above his belly button has become, by this point, meme-worthy. On the cover of his forthcoming album,pants held in place by suspenders, and he’s carried the trend into real life, too; during the record’s promotional tour, he’s worn similar styles from Marc Jacobs and Marni as he’s hit up talk shows and press dates.
In the playful clip, Styles drives Corden around Los Angeles while asking the veteran host for tips on how to interact with guests. As they cruise through the streets, Styles’s metallic pink Alessandro Michele-designed blouse becomes obscured by his high-waisted trousers. With each cut, the pants creep a little higher until Styles is left wearing what amounts to a button-fly caplet.
