Queen Elizabeth was left puzzled by Prince Harry’s outbursts and thought he and Meghan Markle were “quite mad”, a new book has claimed
.
And when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex began to publicly criticise the monarchy, the Queen was mystified by their behaviour - calling it 'quite mad'. The book claimed that the Queen "felt let down" by Harry and Meghan’s decision to step back from senior royal duties in 2020 and considered the Sussexes' departure as "a missed opportunity".
The book also claimed the Windsor walkabout - which saw William, Kate Middleton, Harry and Meghan come together after the death of the Queen in September last year - was just "an illusion".
