Screen Rant's latest Pitch Meeting episode casts its wand upon the final film in the Wizarding World saga, HarryPotter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, playfully pointing out its magical inconsistencies.
The latest episode of Screen Rant's Pitch Meeting series casts its wand upon Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2. Released in 2011, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 serves as the second of the two-part adaptation of J.K. Rowling's 2007 novel of the same. Overall, it is the eighth and final installment in the Harry Potter film series.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 brought back much of the saga's iconic ensemble cast for one last go-round, including Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Michael Gambon, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, and David Thewlis.
Deathly Hallows' Use of Magic Raises Serious Harry Potter Concerns As usual, the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 Pitch Meeting pokes fun at many of the film's plot holes and unanswered questions. In the case of fantasy adaptations like Harry Potter, contradictory world-building is a common issue. For instance, previous films established that the Imperius Curse was one of three Unforgivable Curses which carry the strictest penalties attached to their use.
Harry's problematic use of magic in The Deathly Hallows - Part 2 harkens back to a similar moment from Order of the Phoenix when Harry performs public magic ahead of his hearing at the Ministry of Magic, which is ironically about having performed public magic. This is a consistent issue throughout the fantasy series, never really offering a reasonable justification other than Harry is the good guy and thus, his actions are forgivable.
