Author Douglas Murray says that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle seem to have decided to make it their “life’s mission” to try to “destroy” the press. Mr Murray’s remarks come after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were accused of attempting to gag teachers and students at a New York school when they visited back in 2021. The school had been asked to sign a clause which prohibited them from making negative comments and social media posts now and in the future. “It’s not normal behaviour – most people, if they visit a school and read a story book to children, don’t say ‘and if you say anything nasty, I’ll sue you’,” Mr Murray told Sky News host James Macpherson. “The litigiousness of the Sussexes is quite extraordinary – they're repeatedly suing newspapers.”
