The price tag has left people gobsmacked Would you spend almost £30 on a posh sarnie? Well now is your chance because Harrods are selling some for a whopping £28 each. The top-tier Wagyu Steak sandwich contains truffle which is one of the world’s most expensive ingredients, costing between 65p and £1 for a single gram.
’ Would you try out the posh sarnie? Sylvia Booth joked: ‘Ha ha – just popping into Harrods food hall for a £28 sandwich. Hope I get a Harrods carrier bag.’ The news comes as Pret A Manger left people furious after charging customers £7.15 for a Posh Cheddar and Pickle sandwich. The price tag is at the High Street Kensington branch in West London and still costs £5.72 for customers with a Club Pret membership card.
